Personal Profile
Since May 2026, I've started working on independent projects in robot-learning and evaluations. I started with a project on evaluating deception probes in language models, then on vision-language-action models with an SO-101 arm on a workbench I built with my younger brother. Both projects turned out to be about the same question, whether the standard evaluations measure what they claim to. I’m interested in research roles where machine learning, robotics and evaluation meet.
I studied mechanical engineering (B.S. & M.Eng) at Cornell, where I engaged with research labs focused on hands-on hardware. I built a six-legged robot for collecting plastic in mangrove fields, an ultrasonic device for refining grain structure in metal 3D printing, and a custom metal 3D printer. After graduating I spent two years as a consultant at BCG.
